Bobby Wagner’s roots run deep in Destin’s community, from owning a small business, directing a non-profit, and serving in local government. Bobby has had 17 years of growing strong connection and community in Destin. Bobby attended Destin Middle School, later Fort Walton Beach High School, and returned to Destin after college at Troy University to begin his business. Establishing his own production company at 21, Land Air Sea Productions, his life as a community leader began to develop and root into the world’s luckiest fishing village.

Over the 10 years of owning and operating Land Air Sea Productions in Destin, he became more and more involved in the community, and his sense of belonging and purpose also began to grow. During those 10 years, the excellence and standard of Bobby’s work have been recognized, with 2022 being the 6th year in a row Land Air Sea Productions has earned “Best Video Production Company on the Emerald Coast”. Bobby’s experience gives him a unique insight into helping small businesses and large corporations tell their story in Destin.

Networking is more than business for Bobby, it is about gaining collaborative relationships that span a lifetime, and finding a place of service in the community. After volunteering at over 50 non-profits, he finally took root at one place specifically, an environmental non-profit called Trees on the Coast, where he has been a board member since 2017 and was appointed Executive Director in 2020. Trees on the coast have planted 567 trees, collected over 5,000 lbs of trash, and organized 100s of volunteers.

Bobby is also involved in our City, County, and State government at many levels. In addition to being a current member of the Destin City Council, Bobby holds the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials (IEMO) Certifications 1 and 2. Bobby is also a member of Okaloosa County League of Cities, Destin Voting Representative for Florida League of Cities, and Emerald Coast Regional Council. Bobby was also appointed to be a member of the 2022-2023 FLC Utilities, Natural Resources, & Public Works Committee. Bobby’s deep involvement in government will help him to secure resources and funding at the state and federal level to keep local spending conservative and improve the quality life for the people of Destin.
