How do I vote by mail in Destin?

A registered voter may request a Vote-by-Mail ballot online, by telephone, mail, email, fax, or in person, to be mailed to or picked up by the voter. Requests may be made up until ten (10) days prior to election day. Vote-by-Mail ballots must be returned to the elections office by 7pm on Election Day in order to be counted.

Civilian voters wishing to have their ballot sent to an address not in their registration record must request in writing. Forms may be returned by mail, email, fax or dropped off at the office.

Ballots may be delivered to either election office (addresses below) OR at a secure ballot intake station at any of our Early Voting sites during Early Voting hours ONLY. For more information on voting by mail, visit:

Please note – MAIL your ballot in time to be received by the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7pm on Election Day. Be aware, as of July 2020, USPS strongly encourages returning your ballot by mail no later than a week prior to the election. It is recommended to allow 15 days round trip for a ballot to be requested, mailed, and returned by the deadline of 7 pm on Election Day.

Ballots for Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) and their dependents are sent at least 45 days before the election. All other ballots are mailed between the 40th and 33rd days before the election. This is just for requests on file by these deadlines.
